Actions undertaken by CAPSA employees
BLOOD DONATION CAMPAIGNS
Being aware that blood saves lives, CAPSA organises different campaigns for healthy people to donate blood to sick people who need blood products (surgery, cancer treatment, transplants, etc.).
In 2015, 188 blood donations were made, which have contributed to this important social work, which is channelled through community blood and tissue centre.
Operation clothing and toys
In order to help the most disadvantaged families at Christmas, CAPSA held two campaigns for collecting clothes and toys, one in the Three Kings celebrations and another at Christmas, working with the NGO.
‘Ningún Niño Sin Cenar’ (No Child Without Dinner) Thanks to the voluntary work of CAPSA employees, more than 1,000 toys were collected, which helped to bring some happiness to many needy households, and many clothes in good condition were also donated that are of great help to these families.
Caps for a Life
The great efforts of CAPSA employees have helped to improve the quality of life of children with serious illnesses and scarce resources. Some years ago, in collaboration with the SEUR Foundation, CAPSA began the “Caps for a life” campaign, whose goal is to raise money for Aitana, a girl with severe heart and lung problems. After the success of this activity, the collaboration was extended to help other children, thanks to an average of 2,500 kg of caps per month.
