The Beach Campaign of the Central Lechera Asturiana, in collaboration with the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) and the Agency of Sponsorship and Patronage of the Government of Cataluña (GENCAT), is an initiative seeking to reinforce safety on our coast by increasing the material and technical means at more than 600 lifeguard posts.
Central Lechera Asturiana provides rescue buoys, first-aid equipment, backpacks and the necessary wardrobe for volunteers of the Red Cross, Civil Protection and private lifeguard companies. A total of 4000 lifeguards are fully equipped to ensure swimmers’ safety. 600 posts are equipped to be easily located with safety flags, sunshades and umbrellas to protect lifeguards. 400 beaches in more than 150 municipalities along our coast will be provided with safety reinforcements during the summer.
Central Lechera Asturiana is the main sponsor of the Central Lechera Asturiana Race for Women, a sports circuit and act of solidarity supported by the Princess of Asturias, Letizia.
