At Central Lechera Asturiana, we have spent over 50 years standing up for our natural origin: our farmers, our cows, our Asturian pastures and nature itself.
In 2017, we reinvented our essence with a clear commitment: to offer only products with no artificial additives. Since then, we have become the only dairy brand with 99% of its product range free from artificial additives.

From nature, we obtain the finest milk, which we use to produce our dairy products while preserving their quality and taste, without adding anything that could alter them. Because respecting our natural origin helps promote a more balanced diet and a better quality of life for everyone.
Our product range is made without artificial additives, using ingredients you recognize and that are clearly displayed on the front of our packaging, so there is no need to search for them in the ingredients list.
For the small remaining percentage of products which, due to their composition or functionality, we have not yet been able to adapt, we always offer a 100% alternative free from artificial E-numbers, and we continue working every day to ensure this commitment is reflected across the entire Central Lechera Asturiana range.

Innovation means staying natural
At Central Lechera Asturiana, we believe that innovation is not about adding more, but about respecting what truly matters. Since launching our natural commitment, every product we have introduced has met one essential principle: being free from artificial additives.
To ensure this, our R&D, innovation and nutrition teams assess every proposal from the very beginning, working to improve nutritional profiles wherever possible and to offer increasingly natural and balanced alternatives.
This approach has enabled us, for example, to develop our functional dairy drinks enriched with fibre, sterols or calcium, as well as our Suprema milk, which provides an extra boost of calcium and protein and is enriched with vitamin D, all without artificial additives.

Additives and their role
Artificial food additives are substances added to foods during processing or packaging for technological purposes, such as extending shelf life or improving certain product characteristics, for example taste, colour or texture. In ingredient lists, they can be identified by a numerical code preceded by the letter “E” or by their specific name.
No, not all additives are artificial. There are naturally sourced substances that can add flavour, enhance nutritional value or improve texture without being considered artificial additives.
For example, our Central Lechera Asturiana Natural Fibre dairy drink is made exclusively with semi-skimmed milk and natural fibre extracted from vegetables such as maize and chicory. And nothing else.
